Helicopter pre-purchase review - Mexico 2012
ASSET Aviation was asked to complete a pre-purchase inspection of a B412 helicopter. The review was performed against defined FAA standards and the final report delivered to the client in schedule.
TECHNICAL AVIATION TRANSLATION - WORLDWIDE 2012
ASSET Aviation was asked to translate the Flight Safety Foundation's Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) from English to Russian. The translation included highly technical aviation acronyms and abbreviations. ASSET translated and proof read the final draft document. ASSET used in-house qualified translators with many years of aviation experience and expertise.

ASSET Aviation was asked to complete a pre-purchase inspection of a B412EP helicopter. The review was performed against defined FAA, Singaporean and Indonesian standards. Several issues and defects were identified resulting in a maintenance plan of action being drafted for the client.
OPERATIONAL RISK ASSESSMENTS - nORTHERN Australia 2011
ASSET Aviation was contracted by various resource clients to conduct Operational Risk Assessments of thier ad-hoc charter and FIFO aviation operations.

Closed Charter SUPPORT - Australia 2011
ASSET Aviation was contracted by a construction campany to provide advice on the development and assessment of proposed closed charter to support FIFO operations to a remote construction site.

- Advised on aircraft type suitability for the specific flying operations
- Advised on suitable operators to approach for pre-qualification
- Reviewed the contract template
closed Charter TENDER SUPPORT - Australia 2010/2011
ASSET Aviation was contracted by a Resources consortium to provide advice on the development and assessment of an aviation tender for a large charter operation to their remote mining operations.
ASSET Aviation:
- Advised on tender parameters
- Advised on aircraft type suitability for the specific flying operations
- Advised on suitable operators to approach for pre-qualification
- Developed Pre-Qualification Questionnaires
- Developed Evaluation Matrices for the RFQ
- Participated and provided advice in evaluation sessions for the RFQ
- Drafted the Scope of Works and Technical Specifications which form the basis of the contract
- Reviewed the contract template
- Developed most of the Request for Proposal tender documentation
- Participated in the Evaluation process for RFP
START-UP AIRLINE - RUSSIA 2009/2010
A start-up, low-cost Russian airline wanted to launch in the market. They needed support in developing pilot recruitment processes and standards, pilot training syllabus and standards, and strategic input into their Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Management Systems.
They asked ASSET Aviation to assist them with these requirements.
ASSET:
- Analysed their fledgling Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Management Systems and compared them to industry best practice
- Provided feedback on the draft manuals and in-depth advice on developing them further to reflect the proposed operating environment of the carrier, improve efficiencies and maximise safety
- Developed criteria and standards for the recruitment of pilots into the airline, including the development of customised aptitude tests and English language tests. This was particularly critical in an environment where pilots were needing to be transitioned from legacy Russian aircraft to Western aircraft
- Undertook the recruitment process for pilots on behalf of the airline
- Undertook pilot skills evaluation tests in an A320 simulator
- Developed a tailored training program to transition pilots from Russian aircraft to Western aircraft, including Crew Resource Management and SOP/cultural changes, as pilots went from 3 or 4 man crews to 2 man crews
The airline was able to launch on-time and grew rapidly in its first months of operation.
Pilot Briefing Packs - Portugal 2008/2009
A high-end corporate jet operator required supplemental pilot briefing material to support their activities in Russia and Ukraine. Flight crew were faced with difficulties in undertsnading the Russian navigational charts, approach charts, rules and procedures of domestic flights in Russia and the CIS and they were seeking specialist guidance material for their flight crew. They asked ASSET Aviation to assist them with these requirements.
ASSET:
- Analysed their route segments and intended airports of operation
- Translated Russian AIP information into English
- Developed standard pilot briefing packages and delivered them to the client
The VIP corporate charter company successfully continued flight operations in to these areas. They were very happy with the quality of our work, and requested additional briefing packs be drafted the following year.

An insurance company required a feasibility study to be completed in support of its planned growth into the aviation medical evacuation market. They asked ASSET Aviation to assist with the study of.
